What will happen to loan deals on July 1?
As football fans continue to wait to see whether the 2019-20 seasons will be completed, issues relating to the transfer market and employment contracts are yet to be resolved.
Most football contracts are tied into the standard football calendar.
Accordingly, many players are currently set to become free agents on July 1, while most Premier League loan deals are also tied into that date.
Man United can recall Dean Henderson, Harry Wilson may return to Liverpool
The Times have raised fears on Tuesday that Man United’s Dean Henderson could leave Sheffield United on July 1, while Liverpool’s Harry Wilson could similarly leave Bournemouth.
Sheffield United are vying for European football next season, while Bournemouth are battling to beat the drop.
On Wilson, Bournemouth fans may hope that Liverpool will agree that the midfielder can stay on at the Vitality Stadium for longer.
In truth, if Wilson did return to Anfield, he’d probably find that his first-team opportunities are limited for the remainder of this season.
But the Times ramp up the fears for Sheffield United regarding their top-notch keeper:
The Premier League is under pressure to clarify its policy on loan signings for the remainder of the season amid concern the system is now open to abuse.
Dean Henderson’s loan move to Sheffield United from Manchester United is the most high-profile deal to come under scrutiny with the two clubs currently vying for what could be a Champions League place next season.

What are the Premier League going to do about these loan deals?
That remains unclear, although the Times confirm that the current position of the Premier League appears to do nothing:
The situation requires the Premier League to come up with a definitive policy that applies to all clubs, rather than allowing teams to make their own decisions.
(However,) the Premier League have refused to comment on the matter.
The Times understands that league chiefs have so far been resistant to a suggestion from the EFL for loans to be automatically extended.
La Liga fixtures expected to be forced behind closed doors until 2021.
