After filing a defamation case in the Bombay High Court, Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt have released an official statement denying drug allegations made by Sumit Sabherwal’s estranged wife Luviena Lodh. Sonakshi Sinha will soon start shooting for her debut digital series in Rajasthan

Before the lockdown began, Sonakshi Sinha had given her nod to Reema Kagti’s upcoming web series, Fallen. With Sonakshi in the lead, the series will also have the likes of Gully Boy fame Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, Sohum Shah among the others. Marking her first digital web series, Sonakshi Sinha along with the crew is expected to head to Rajasthan in December. As per the makers, Reema Kagti will be taking a crew of 35 people with her on a week-long schedule. Sunir Kheterpal quits Azure Entertainment

Producer Sunir Kheterpal has quit as CEO of Azure Entertainment. Sunir helped Azure to acquire the remake rights of many successful foreign films including the Spanish films The Invisible Guest and El Cuerpo which were remade in 2018 as Badla and in 2019 as The Body . Kheterpal also acquired the remake rights of the Hollywood film The Intern which was to star Rishi Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Rishi’s untimely death halted that project. Kheterpal’s latest acquisition for Azure was the Korean Film The Terror Live which is rumoured to being remade into Hindi with Kartik Aryan in the lead and Ram Madhvani as director. Mumbai Court orders inquiry against Kangana Ranaut & Rangoli Chandel for allegedly spreading communal disharmony

Kangana Ranaut once again has come under fire. A Mumbai Court has ordered an inquiry against Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly spreading communal hatred. According to Live Law India, “Court ordered an inquiry under Section 202 of CrPC and called for a police report on the allegations against the siblings. Judge Bhagwat T Zirape was hearing a complaint filed by Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh for offences punishable under Sections 153-A, 153-B, 195-A, 298, 505 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Mirzapur 2, after a long wait, was recently released on OTT platform and it had naturally given major content for memes on social media. Police traces the man that stabbed Malvi Malhotra, arrest delayed due to his hospitalization

Malvi Malhotra, who has done a few regional films and was seen in the show Udaan, was stabbed by a man whose marriage proposal she refused. The actress was returning home from a café in Versova and the incident took place under her residential building. The man had been trying to get her to marry him for some time now but she was unhinged by her decision. However, on Monday night he arrived in his Audi and cornered her, when she refused again he stabbed her in the stomach and attacked her right wrist and left arm. Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash fails to show up at the NCB office for questioning

Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash has been under the NCB’s radar for quite some time after the drugs probe during Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case came to light. The actress’ manager had some links to drug peddlers and was called for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau regarding the same. After the recent raid at her apartment, the NCB had summoned her once again on Wednesday for questioning. However, as per the sources, Karishma Prakash did not turn up for the questioning and one of the officers mentioned that she did not give a reason behind her absence. Even during the raid, she was not present at her apartment but it was conducted among the presence of her acquaintances. Hrithik Roshan’s mother Pinkie Roshan tests negative for COVID-19

The recent past has not been rather kind to the film industry, with film production grinding to a halt. It is only now that shooting has resumed. Though the shoot of films has resumed, albeit on a rather low key, we hear that the Karan Johar led production house Dharma Production has run into some turbulence. In fact, reports state that the Entertainment Society of Goa has issued a showcause notice to Dharma for apparently littering a location where they were shooting. This notice comes after a resident of Nerul, in Goa, complained that the Dharma Production crew disposed off garbage, which included biomedical waste, in a haphazard manner along the streets where they were shooting. As per a complaint by Lokhancho Ekvott Goa, a movement to save heritage sites in Goa, the shoot in question was being helmed by Shakun Batra with Deepika Padukone starring in the film.
