Popular Indian actor and Ex-Army officer Bikramjeet Kanwarpal has died due to COVID-19 complications at the age of 52. The actor was a known face on movies, television and web shows. Seven years after their blockbuster, Kick , Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala are reuniting on the comedy, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali , directed by Farhad Samji. The film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead with Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal in key roles. Filmmaker and cinematographer KV Anand passes away at 54; tested COVID-19 positive

Filmmaker and cinematographer KV Anand passed away in Chennai after suffering from a stroke. The 54-year-old was known for his Tamil films like Ayan, Maattrraan, Kaappaan , among others. He has done the cinematography for films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Josh, Nayak:The Real Hero, Khakee and others. He received a National Film Award for Best Cinematographer in the year 1994 for his work in the Malayalam movie Thenmavin Kombath , starring Mohanlal, Shobana in the lead roles. "It is being considered," Nikkhil Advani confirms Bellbottom’s direct-to-OTT

The biggies that were patiently awaiting their chance in movie theatres have one by one by one decided to shift loyalties to the digital platform. The latest on that front is director Ranjit Tiwari's period thriller Bellbottom featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead. The producers Nikkil Advani and Pooja Entertainment had categorically denied any plans to opt for the digital option. And the film was poised for a theatrical release. Noah Centineo to star in and executive produce upcoming Netflix CIA series 

To All The Boys fame Noah Centineo will continue his working relationship with Netflix. After several rom-com opportunities along with the end of the  To All The Boys  franchise earlier this year, the actor is set to star in an upcoming CIA series on the streaming giant from Entertainment One and Hypnotic. The working title of the eight-episode series is Graymail. The actor is returning to series format after his last stint in the Freeform series, The Fosters. SCOOP: S S Rajamouli’s RRR may not release on 13 October this year; may be pushed to 2022

S S Rajamouli’s post- Baahubali opus RRR has got itself into a massive Covid imbroglio. While Rajamouli is adamant to finally release the film on 13 October, as per the latest schedule plan, sources close to the project say the release in the given date seems “next to impossible” One of the actors from RRR told this writer, “How can it release on 13 October? Both Ramcharan Teja and NTR Jr have a lot of pending shooting for RRR . Ramcharan hasn’t shot much this year. Ajay Devgn helps set up a 20-bed Covid ICU in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park

The second wave of Coronavirus has been far more extreme and has spread its wings across the country. The city of Mumbai is now past it’s peak and has seen a steady decrease in cases. But still, around 4000 people are testing positive for the deadly virus each day, resulting in shortage of hospital beds. The authorities, hence, have been trying their best to increase the beds wherever possible. Bollywood actors, too, have been helping them so that the infrastructure could be ramped as soon as possible. It has now come to light that Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has made a significant contribution in this regard. Film Producer Suunil Jaiin of (SJP), Ashish Arjun Gaikar’s AGFS and Ankit Chandiramani’s Sunshine Studios - a leading film distribution and production house - have announced a film on Kerala’s missing children. The investigative thriller delving into the mysterious world of child trafficking and missing children, titled Backwaters, is helmed by FTII graduate Abhinav Thakur.
