Liverpool vs Tottenham
Liverpool have a chance to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp this coming Saturday.
The Reds are without any trophy since 2012 when they won the League Cup.
They have also not won the Champions League since 2005 when they beat AC Milan.
Liverpool are favourites heading into Saturday’s game against Tottenham.
Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Tottenham twice in the Premier League this past season and finished 26 points above them.
Liverpool have a largely fit squad to face Tottenham but Klopp has confirmed that Naby Keita will miss the final due to injury.
Keita will not be fit to face Tottenham. “[There is] no chance for Naby,” revealed Klopp. “He is really progressing well, we will see how it will work out for him for the Africa Cup of Nations. We don’t know that yet.” #LFC

Salah hoping to play full game this time around
Prior to facing Tottenham, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been previewing the final.
Salah started in last year’s UCL final for Liverpool vs Real Madrid but was sadly taken off in the first half due to an injury.
The Egyptian is now hoping to finish the full game this time around:
“I am so happy that I have the chance to play another final. I hope I can play the full game this time.
“I am very excited for that. I hope we can right what happened last season, get a good result, and win the competition.
“Of course this is our second final in a row. We lost the first, but everything feels better this time around and we have more experience. We are all looking forward and we had a good preparation period in Spain. We are feeling very motivated as players and coaching staff. I hope we can win it this time.” As quoted by the Telegraph.
Salah has also spoken out about Liverpool being favourites for the tie but doesn’t expect it to have much bearing on the final:
“All we have to do is stay focused on the game to win. Who’s favourite and who isn’t will not change what you have to do on the pitch. It could give us a bit of a boost, but ot won’t be the main reason why a side wins a game.
“It will be tough. This is a final and no opponent would have been easy, same if it were Ajax, a team that beat Real Madrid and Juventus. But now we only think about Tottenham. It is harder because it is an English side, but anyway we needed to win whether it was against Ajax or Spurs. And that is the most important thing we want to do.”As quoted by the Telegraph.
