When will Nicolas Pepe make his Arsenal debut?
Arsenal kick off their new Premier League season on August 11 against Newcastle United.
However, Pepe is expected to be seen playing for Arsenal long before that.
Indeed, the Gunners are in pre-season action tonight when they face French side Angers.
Could Pepe play in that game? The Evening Standard report that’s unlikely:
Fans itching to see Nicolas Pepe in action will have to wait a little longer.
This weekend Arsenal play their final warm-up match before the start of the new season against Barcelona.
The Express expect that’s when the Ivory Coast international will make his Arsenal debut:
Pepe’s signing virtually ends any chance of the Gunners making a late move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who now looks set to stay at Selhurst Park.
He could make his debut against Barcelona in a friendly – which is being played for the Joan Gamper Trophy – at the Nou Camp on Sunday.
