Key absences
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has cast doubt over the fitness of goalkeeper Alisson and new signing Thiago Alcantara.
The pair have reportedly missed training sessions over the last two days. With the weekend still to recover, Klopp is being very coy as to whether either will play.
The German coach said, “We will see. We have a few days to train and see how we set up versus Arsenal,”
“I have an idea but why should I make the decision today when we have time before Monday? He (Thiago) is in contention, let’s say.”

It is a mystery as to what the issues are but with Klopp’s lack of worry, it appears the problem is not serious. Fitness may be the only question ahead of the huge clash.
Liverpool face Arsenal on Monday evening which will see one of the two sides drop their first points of the season after strong starts.
Arteta’s mentality
Arsenal and Liverpool will play each other twice in the space of four days in the Premier League and League Cup.
Mikel Arteta was in typically composed mood ahead of the games.
“It’s normally difficult enough to play the same team in four days and for the players as well to adapt. The first game has a big impact on the second one and it’s very tough to beat the same opponent twice in that short period,” the Spaniard remarked.
“When you talk about Liverpool that challenge is much bigger. I just want to focus on Monday. Let’s try to get the best possible preparation against them, go there and most importantly have the belief that we can go there and win.
“We all have to believe we can do that.”
Arsenal have improved massively under Arteta against the bigger sides. Beating Liverpool at the end of the 2019/20 league campaign and in the Community Shield. The north west club will want revenge and a much tougher test will present itself.
