Moreover, Havertz is expected to remain with Bayer until their Europa League campaign ends.

Leverkusen are on course to progress to the quarterfinals of the competition. In their last-16, first-leg at Ibrox, Bayer beat Rangers 3-1.

Bayer Leverkusen director, Rudi Voller, has told Kicker magazine that it’s “set in stone” that Havertz will remain with the German club until their European adventure finishes. Voller added:

No matter who the player is, this is a special transfer window.

Finally, Voller also indicated that Bayer have no intention of reducing their asking price for any of their players due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kicker note that Bayer are demanding 100 million euros for Havertz.

Kicker also tell their readers that “Kai Havertz wants to switch to a top club” and Chelsea could be poised to sign the German international.”

That’s lead to the following updates from Fabrizio Romano on the likelihood that Chelsea will sign Havertz.

The Italian transfer guru have confirmed that Chelsea plan to offer Bayer 80 million euros for Havertz, plus add-ons.

Also, while Chelsea are yet to table an official offer for Havertz, it’s noted that “Chelsea and Bayer are now in talks.”
