Romelu Lukaku was back in a more central attacking role against the Eagles.

The Belgian impressed as he scored a brace in south London.

Joel Ward scored for Palace, while Ashley Young bagged United’s third.

Man United are fifth in the division with 55 points from 28 games. Crystal Palace are down in 14th with 30 points.

Mamadou Sakho’s Man United selfie

Immediately after the final whistle blew, injured Palace centre-half Mamadou Sakho took a selfie with a couple of Man United stars.

Romelu Lukaku, Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba posed with Sakho on the side of the pitch.

What was the Crystal Palace doing? Was he celebrating United’s win against his won team in front of his own fans?

In short, no.

Sakho revealed on social media that he took the selfie with the Man United players to celebrate a winner’s auction in a wholly unrelated event.
