Liverpool fans heap praise on Sadio Mane vs Watford

Liverpool vs Watford

Liverpool hosted Watford on Wednesday as they looked to retain top spot.

The Reds have had a tiny dip in form recently, drawing three of their last five league games.

But their last game saw them draw 0-0 at Old Trafford with that point being enough to overtake Man City at the top of the table.

Watford, on the other hand, started the game week in 7th place having lost just one of their last five.

Sadio Mane impresses

Despite Liverpool’s average form in recent weeks, they got off to a flying start vs Watford.

Sadio Mane would give Liverpool the lead inside nine minutes.

The Liverpool forward would double his and Liverpool’s tally just 11 minutes later with a cheeky back-heel.

Mane’s brace vs Watford put him on 14 league goals for the 2018/19 campaign, his highest every PL tally.

Mane has also become somewhat of a menace for Watford helping score and create eight goals in five appearances vs the Hornets.

As a result, he has been receiving a lot of praise online.
