Rumours linking Sami Khedira to Arsenal got a lot louder on Sunday.

That’s after the German World Cup winner turned up at the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal 1 – Lyon 2.

Inside Arsenal’s stadium, Khedira posed with a Gunners fan.

Di Marzio on Khedira & Arsenal

A few days ago, Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Arsenal are one of a number of clubs keen on the signature of Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira.

Di Marzio also named two other suitors for Khedira: Valencia and Fiorentina.

Khedira’s contract at Juventus

32-year-old Khedira is under contract at Juve until 2021.

The Bianconeri also retain an option to extend the deal by another 12 months.

In three seasons at the Allianz Stadium, Khedira has contributed 19 goals and 10 assists across 77 league appearances.

However, last season the midfielder only played 10 Serie A matches for the Scudetto champions.

What Unai Emery said about Sami Khedira

After the Lyon game, Arsenal manager Unai Emery was asked about Sami Khedira.

Emery tried to pour cold water on the transfer speculation saying:

Khedira is a very good player but this is the first time I have heard his name mentioned.
