Wolves in ‘total agreement’ to sign AC Milan’s Patrick Cutrone

Wolves ‘sign’ Patrick Cutrone

It’s not yet been confirmed by either Wolves or AC Milan, but journalist Fabrizio Romano is calling it.

Italian striker Patrick Cutrone is joining Wolves.

Cutrone is completing a permanent move to Molineux, where he could play alongside Raul Jimenez in attack.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Wolves will pay AC Milan “€18M + add ons (around €4M).”

The Italian reporter further stresses that the deal is “confirmed” and that Wolves and AC Milan have a “total agreement”.

At this stage, it’s unclear how long Cutrone’s Wolves contract will last for.

Who is Patrick Cutrone?

Patrick Cutrone has spent his entire senior career with AC Milan.

The forward moved into Milan’s youth system in 2006.

Cutrone would then impress for Milan’s Primavera side, scoring a very respectable 43 and assisting six in 67 games.

Since being promoted to AC Milan’s senior side, Cutrone has featured 90 times across all competitions.

In those 90 games, the Italian has found the back of the net 27 times and managed to earn seven assists.

This past season, however, was not the greatest for the 21-year-old.

Cutrone scored just three and assisted two in 34 Serie A outings.

Although, it should be worth noting that Cutrone completed 90 minutes just nine times in those fixtures.

Wolves transfer business

Over the weekend, Spanish defender Jesús Vallejo became the first new addition at Wolves.

Vallejo has agreed a season-long loan move from Real Madrid.

Ivan Cavaleiro, Kortney Hause and Joe Mason have all left the club this summer.
