Man United fan asks about debt under the Glazers, MUTV cut him off

MUTV cut off Man United fan

A clip is doing the rounds on social media this week from MUTV.

Club legend Paddy Crerand holds a weekly phone-in on MUTV on Mondays.

Yesterday, one Man United fan called up the programme in an effort to discuss the club’s debt under the Glazers.

The fan managed to ask the following question:

Since 2005, over 750 million has been spent serving the debt that the Glazer family have put on Manchester United. What do you think about that?

After dropping the keywords ‘debt’ and ‘Glazer family’, the MUTV host quickly began to pipe up.

After trying to interrupt the questioner with an ‘OK’, he said:

Tom, we’ll just stop you there. Thank you.

So… I mean… [busts out laughing].

Paddy Crerand then hit back at the fan saying, “there’s not a football club anywhere that’s not in debt”.

MUTV’s previously stopped the Paddy Crerand Show

Just over a month ago, MUTV canned an episode of the Paddy Crerand Show.

At that time, the Mirror speculated that Man United made this programming change in order to silence supporters calling into MUTV to voice opinions on the #GlazerOut campaign:

A new #GlazersOut tag has been trending on social media, and the club email address has reportedly been flooded with anti-Glazer messages.

Potentially as a result of the growing discontentment, United have cancelled the Paddy Crerand Show for the next two weeks.
