Christian Eriksen is refusing to leave Tottenham in January amid claims his transfer fee has dropped significantly
Christian Eriksen, Tottenham & January window
In the Daily Mail on Thursday, there’s an update on the future of Christian Eriksen at Tottenham.
Back at the start of the summer, Eriksen indicated that he’d like to leave Spurs.
However, the Danish playmaker was unable to complete a move from north London.
Despite staying at Spurs, it seems clear that Eriksen is now facing challenges at Tottenham.
No longer a definite starter, Eriksen is on the fringes of Mauricio Pochettino’s XI.
The Daily Mail report that Tottenham are open to selling Eriksen in January.
However, Eriksen is reportedly refusing to leave in the new year.
Eriksen’s transfer fee has dropped significantly
Eriksen’s contract at Tottenham expires at the end of the season.
With that in mind, reporter Sami Mokbel has investigated Tottenham’s valuation for Eriksen in the next window:
Tottenham valued the Dane at around £100million in the summer transfer window but with the prospect of losing their influential playmaker for nothing at the end of the season the club will listen to cut-price offers in January.
Sources claim Spurs could be willing to accept £30m as they look to recoup some of his true value.

Eriksen is refusing to leave Tottenham
While Spurs seem willing to sell Eriksen for cheap, the player is refusing to budge in January. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who report:
Eriksen will not be forced out in the next transfer window.
Eriksen wants to join an elite European club and knows he will have better options if he is available for nothing next summer.
