Mason Mount trains with Chelsea before Sheffield United

Mason Mount has proven to be one of the star performers under Frank Lampard’s new-look Chelsea side.

The 20-year-old has netted twice in three appearances.

During the Blues’ 3-2 win at Carrow Road, the midfielder was forced off after suffering a knock.

However, he has handed Chelsea a big boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United by taking part in training on Tuesday.

Mount was pictured during Chelsea’s training session before Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Willian and Antonio Rudiger were also involved in the session.

Mount and Willian are both expected to feature on the weekend, but Hudson-Odoi and Rudiger are still not ready.

Chelsea may also be without the trio of N’Golo Kante, Pedro, and Reece James against the Blades.

Lampard praises Mount after win at Norwich

Lampard has been thoroughly impressed by the former Derby County loanee.

The 46-year-old was forced to give Mount a new role just moments before Norwich after an injury picked up by Pedro in the warm-up.

However, the youngster stilled thrived as he starred in the Blues’ win.

Lampard admitted:

“Mason a continuation of what he’s doing.

“I had to move him out to the left just before the game because of the Pedro injury.

“He took it on board, he’s intelligent, he works hard, he can do different roles.”
