Keylor Navas spends a small fortune to leave France, Angel Di Maria discusses his Covid-19 fears

PSG’s Keylor Navas spends a small fortune to leave France

France has been heavily hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday morning, Johns Hopkins reports 38,105 positive Covid-19 cases in France. France have suffered 2,314 deaths from the virus.

In recent days, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced that France’s state of lockdown would continue until April 15.

Edouard Philippe also revealed that Covid-19 has “submerged eastern France and now it is arriving in the Paris region and northern France.”

In reaction, PSG goalie Keylor Navas has spent a small fortune to leave France to return to Costa Rica.

ESPN Deportes have confirmed that Keylor Navas paid $200,000 to hire a private plane for him, his wife and three daughters. The flight from Paris to Costa Rica took 12 hours.

A few days beforehand, Keylor Navas had told Costa Rica’s Impact Radio:

We are human beings, and sometimes we also feel scared. But the one who gives us peace is God, when we kneel down and put the situation in his hands, he takes control and gives us peace.

After flying back to his homeland, Keylor Navas and his family are now required to quarantine for 14 days.

Neymar has already left Paris

Of course, Navas isn’t the first PSG player to leave the country: Neymar made that move back on March 18.

Neymar, along with Thiago Silva, flew back to Brazil as the virus began spreading in Europe.

Angel Di Maria discusses his Covid-19 fears

Argentine international Angel Di Maria has remained in Paris with his family during the crisis.

This weekend, Di Maria has spoken to Argentine TV show Telefe about his experiences in the French capital.

The PSG forward admitted he’s scared by the current Covid-19 outbreak:

It is something crazy that we’re experiencing.

We’re trying not to do many things, [staying] at home. For our daughters, we don’t want to get infected.

You are a little scared of everything. What we’re seeing and hearing scares you.
