Nolberto Solano goes to a party & breaches Covid-19 quarantine rules
Former Newcastle and Aston Villa midfielder Nolberto Solano is in trouble with police in Peru.
On Thursday night, TV cameras were on hand to record police detaining Solano after he breached Peru’s quarantine rules.
The Covid-19 pandemic has spread to Peru. They have 580 confirmed coronavirus cases and 9 deaths from the virus.
Peru is in lockdown, and social gatherings were banned on March 16.
Nevertheless, Solano was found at a party in Lima on Thursday night with another former footballer, Pablo Zegarra.
Solano detained by police
According to local reports, police were alerted to the party after a neighbour complained about loud music.
Apparently, the original call to the police was made at noon, while officers only showed up at the location at 8:06 pm.
Police scaled the walls of the property, at which point they found Solano inside.
The media were present to film Solano being lead out the house, holding his son in his arms.
Reporters asked Solano why he was at the party. The ex-footballer replied:
What party? What are you talking about? No sir, it’s not a party.
I live here, around the corner. This is my friend’s house, he’s my neighbour.
You’re wasting time on this. This is disrespectful.
Ole report that Solano was taken to the La Molina police station.
