Southampton 1 Man City 3
Southampton hosted Man City on Sunday as they looked to pile on their recent misery.
Man City looked very likely to run away with the league once again, prior to December.
However, City have now lost three of their last five league games, two of those losses coming against Leicester and Crystal Palace.
Southampton, on the other hand, are improving under new boss Ralph Hasenhuttl and have climbed out of the bottom three.
Unfortunately for Southampton, David Silva would make it 1-0 to Man City just 10 minutes into Sunday’s clash.
The Saints would draw level shortly after as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg make it 1-1 after capitalising on an Oleksandr Zinchenko mistake.
Man City would then go on to take a 3-1 lead before the half-time whistle thanks to an own goal and a Sergio Aguero header.
The game would remain 3-1 and Southampton are now only above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Hojbjerg to miss Chelsea clash
Southampton’s day would then get even worse as Hojbjerg would be shown a straight red card for a rash challenged on Fernandinho.

After being shown a straight red, Hojbjerg will now miss Southampton’s next three games.
This is a huge blow for Southampton as Hojbjerg has been a key member of Hasenhuttl’s side since he took over.
The three games Hojbjerg is set to miss are vs Chelsea, Derby and Leicester City
