Paul Pogba reborn under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from United’s win vs Bournemouth is Pogba’s rebirth under Solskjaer.
Since joining United from Juventus Pogba has not really impressed.
One of the reasons for this was perhaps due to Mourinho’s more defensive style, which did not allow Pogba the freedom he enjoyed at Juve.
However, under Solskjaer, Pogba is epitomising United’s transformation.
In Solskjaer’s first game in charge, Pogba would bag two assists.
The midfielder would then score a brace vs Huddersfield and then two more vs Bournemouth.
This means that Pogba has scored more goals in three games under Solskjaer than he did under Mourinho in 17 games this season.
Paul Pogba doubles his and Manchester United’s tally and has now scored more goals in three league appearances under Solskjaer (4) than he managed in his previous 17 under Mourinho (3).
