Manchester City vs Southampton
Manchester City travelled to Southampton on Sunday as they looked to put an end to their poor run of form.
City started the season in superb form and looked likely to once again run away with the league.
However, after losing to Chelsea in early December, City have not been at their best.
Prior to Sunday’s clash with Southampton Man City had lost their last two league matches vs Leicester and Crystal Palace.
1st place Liverpool had also won on Saturday, meaning City started the day 10 points off top spot.
As for Southampton, they are slowly finding their feet under Ralph Hasenhuttl but they did lose their last game vs West Ham.

Zinchenko’s mistake
The game got off to a good start for City as David Silva put them 1-0 inside 10 minutes.
But as has been the case in recent weeks, Man City once again let their lead slip.
This time Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg would tackle Oleksandr Zinchenko who did not deal with a poor pass from Vincent Kompany.
Hojbjerg would then drive forward and smash it into the City net.
Zinchenko got himself in all kinds of trouble there, he didn’t want it in the first place, but then dealt with it terribly when he did. This is when we see if something like the real City really is back. Can’t be missing those chances

City would retake the lead shortly after through an own goal and Sergio Aguero would add a third just before the break.
However, that has not stopped some Man City fans taking to Twitter to slate Zinchenko for his mistake.
