Bowen is 22 years of age and has spent the majority of his career at Hull.
During his time at Hull Bowen has played 77 games across all competitions, in which he has scored 23 and assisted seven.
Bowen is naturally a right winger but he can also play on the left or behind the striker.
The Hull forward has played 24 games this season for Hull, in which he has scored eight and assisted three.
A solid record considering that he is playing on the right and that Hull are not having the best season, they currently sit 14th in the Championship.
Nigel Adkins on Spurs being linked with Bowen
While Spurs fans will be happy they are actually being linked with someone, Hull boss Nigel Adkins has cast doubt over the transfer.
According to Adkins, there have been no offers made for Bowen by any club, including Tottenham
“It’s good to have speculation because it means that we have players that are doing well.
“He is under contract so obviously the owners have a decision to make if, and I’m saying if, people make offers. And as far as I’m aware there hasn’t been any offers for him, so it is all speculation.
“There is no decision to make at this moment in time, so let’s be positive that he is staying.”
Is Spurs the right move for Bowen?
If Tottenham were to submit an offer for Bowen, would it be the best decision for both parties?
Firstly, given Bowen is young, English and one of Hull’s best players, he would likely command a high transfer fee.
This may not be the best decision for Spurs as they seemingly have limited money to spend and Bowen has never actually played in the Premier League.
Also, from Bowen’s point of view, would he actually ever start for Tottenham?
Playing as a right winger Bowen would have to compete with the likes of Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli.
So, if he were to join Spurs he would likely only be a benchwarmer or superb sub.
