Good for Liverpool: Pep Guardiola offers huge Kevin De Bruyne injury update

De Bruyne issues again

Manchester City once again face injury issues with Kevin De Bruyne.

The midfielder is a key player for Man City, and someone who they need on the field.

He missed the game against Southampton with a knock.

De Bruyne has what is described as “a knock”.

It’s now unclear if he will return for Thursday night’s game.

He’s already been out with two knee injuries this season, and Guardiola confirmed after the win over Southampton that he may be out against Liverpool.

The game is undoubtedly key for Man City.

One positive is that Pep said the injury to De Bruyne isn’t serious.

A huge gap

The seven point gap at the top of the table is of course significant.

While it’s not handing the title to Liverpool, it’s certainly something that puts them in pole position.

Liverpool have been known to have a gap and then let it slip, however, this season it seems different.

Having only conceded eight goals in the whole of the season so far, their defence is tight.

That’s key, and while their forwards weren’t clicking at the start of the season, they certainly are now.

City will know they have to beat Liverpool in order to have any chance at pulling the gap back.,

Four points is obviously far less, and something that gives them a much better chance.
