Harry Kane’s dive vs Wolves
It was a bad weekend for Tottenham as they lost 3-1 to Wolves ta Wembley.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for Spurs with a fabulous left-footed shot from outside the box.
However Kane struggled against Wolves. In a revealing stat, Kane failed to have a single touch of the ball in Wolves’s area in the 90 minutes.
England’s captain was also booked for diving against Wolves.
According to former Premier League referee Mark Halsey in the Sun on Monday, Kane could be banned for his bad behaviour:
Harry Kane is the latest player to be found guilty of trying to deceive a match official.
Is a yellow card sufficient punishment for an act of simulation? It should lead to an automatic red card.
Simulation is a disease in the game and we need to eradicate it.

Alexandre Lacazette’s penalty vs Liverpool
Mark Halsey has also offered his thought on the controversial decisions during Liverpool’s 5-1 win at Anfield over Arsenal.
Liverpool won two penalties against he Gunners.
Mo Salah when down in the box in the first half after a tackle from behind by Sokratis.
Dejan Lovren fell in the Arsenal box in the second half after a push from Sead Kolasinac.
On those decisions, Mark Halsey has defended referee Michael Oliver for getting the calls spot on.
However, the referee did make one penalty mistake in the game as Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette was denied a spot-kick. Halsey wrote:
Arsenal will feel aggrieved late on as I felt Alexandre Lacazette was fouled inside the box by Nathaniel Clyne.
That should have resulted in a spot-kick for Unai Emery’s men.
