Arsenal have received a major boost over their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Christopher Nkunku.
The French champions could be forced into selling the 21-year-old and they have informed the Gunners over his price.
PSG remain under pressure to sell players this summer due to FFP rules playing into Arsenal’s hands.
Nkunku’s price tag revealed to Arsenal
Arsenal have been informed by PSG that Christopher Nkunku will be made available for transfer at £17.2 million, according to the Evening Standard.
Unai Emery is the man pushing for the Gunners to move for the youngster.
The former PSG manager brought him into the first-team during his time at the Parc des Princes.
The winger’s contract expires in the summer of 2020 and his reluctance to sign a new one is inclining the Ligue 1 club to sell him.
The north London club attempted to sign him on loan in January but PSG wanted to sell him on a permanent deal.
Arsenal could capitalise on PSG’s FFP situation
But now Arsenal could look to take advantage of their FFP situation by returning for the player this summer.
PSG must make 60 million euros in player sales and Nkunku is a player which they hope to offload, according to Le Parisien.
Thomas Meunier and Stanley Nsoki are two other players the club from the French capital could look to sell.
The French paper’s report claims that Meunier has already begun talks with Premier League clubs.
