Arsenal & Celtic’s Kieran Tierney
Will this be the week in which Arsenal manage to make a breakthrough in a deal to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney?
Arsenal’s interest in Tierney has been well-documented this summer.
Tierney is under contract at Celtic until 2023.
Last season he played 40 matches in all competitions for Celtic. He scored once and contributed six assists.
Recently, BBC reporter David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal had a 15 million pound offer for Tierney rejected.
However, the BBC journalist also revealed that Arsenal remain optimistic of getting the deal done.
As reported elsewhere Arsenal have had an opening bid of £15m for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney rejected – but there is optimism an agreement will be reached between the clubs, while personal terms for the 22-year-old Scotland international shouldn’t be a problem #AFC #CelticFC
