Liverpool, Bayern Munich & Nicolas Pepe
For more than six months, Ivory Coast international forward Nicolas Pepe has been linked with a possible move to the Premier League.
Nicolas Pepe enjoyed a breakout season with Lille in 2018-19.
He scored 22 goals and chipped in with 11 assists in 38 Ligue 1 matches.
Back at the start of the year, reports swirled that Man City could lead the race to sign Pepe.
However, these days links between the Sky Blues and the Lille attacker have gone cold.
Similarly, claims that Arsenal could sign Pepe have now receded into the darkness.
Last Sunday, however, French local paper La Voix du Nord suggested that Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing Pepe.
Moreover, France’s Telefoot have also suggested that Bayern Munich are in the running to sign Pepe.
TF1 on Nicolas Pépé: Inter Milan have upped their offer but to €75m not to €90m like L’Équipe say – neither the player nor Lille have made a decision. 5 other teams have shown an interest in doing a deal: Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool & Manchester United.

Liverpool are furious with “pure lies”
As for Liverpool, ESPN reporter Melissa Reddy has confirmed that the Reds have dismissed the Pepe story as “pure lies”.
ESPN have told their readers the following:
Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards personally reached out to Lille manager Christophe Galtier, informing him the European champions have “zero interest” in the Ivory Coast international.
Liverpool feel they are being used to escalate interest in Pepe, whose valuation is already around £70 million.
For the record, Nicolas Pepe is under contract at LOSC until 2022.
