Cardiff fans irate with awful officiating decisions vs Chelsea

Cardiff 1-Chelsea 2

Cardiff hosted Chelsea on Sunday as they continued their battle for survival.

Cardiff started the day five points from safety after Burnley beat Wolves on Saturday.

However, the Blue Birds did have two games in hand vs Sean Dyche’s side.

Chelsea, on the other hand, were eyeing a Champions League place heading into Sunday’s game.

If Chelsea beat Cardiff they would have gone level on points with 4th place Manchester United.

Cardiff’s penalty appeal & offside

Things did not get off to the best start for Chelsea though.

The relegation-battling side would take the lead in the 46th minute through a superb Victor Camarasa strike.

Chelsea’s day could have got a lot worst shortly after though as Antonio Rudiger nearly gave away a penalty, pulling down Sean Morrison inside the box.

The officials were then once again the centre of the game in the 84th minute.

Cesar Azpilicueta would equalise for Chelsea from a corner.

However, it was quite obvious that the Chelsea defender was several yards offside.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek would then score the winner for Chelsea in injury time.

After Cardiff were denied a pretty clear penalty and Chelsea scored an offside equaliser, some of their fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger.
