Arsenal vs Newcastle
Arsenal host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday.
Unless something dramatic happens, Newcastle will again beat the drop this season.
Rafa Benitez has overseen another miraculous year at St James’ Park as the Magpies operate on a shoestring budget.
Yes, they broke their club record recently on Miguel Almiron, however investment in the club has been minimal for years.
As for Arsenal, they need to beat Newcastle to boost their top four hopes.
Martin Dubravka on making it vs Man United
In the Sunday Times, Newcastle goalie Martin Dubravka has sat down for an excellent interview.
Dubravka has kept an impressive 9 clean sheets in the league this campaign, which is the fourth highest in the division.
When looking back of his Premier League career to date, Dubravka singled out a save against Man United’s Anthony Martial on his debut:
Oh my god! I have goosebumps. That was an amazing feeling. I knew that was very important for the first save to be a good save.
I felt like satisfied. I was waiting for this opportunity all my life. The people who know me from a young age know how hard I work. I had a personal trainer when I was young.
My family, my friends support me in the bad days, which is very important to have a good group of people around you. I always believed in myself that this opportunity would come and it finally did.

Going blind against Wolves
Back in February, Newcastle drew 1-1 away at Wolves.
Wily Boly scored for the home side, but should the goal have stood?
Dubravka was clattered in the build-up, and the Newcastle stopper gave his version of events at Wolves to the Times:
Actually I was very focused about the ball. It went like slow motion.
I felt okay, if I catch this ball, done. Suddenly when the ball was almost in my hands I was blind. I couldn’t see the ball.
I felt like somebody behind me had grabbed me from behind. I was really shocked the referee didn’t give a foul.
